I'm working on a starter motor setup in a losost - anyone done this and what bits do I need? I have bought a 'nearly finished' car and it has a starter motor and a cable which apparently manually locates the gear into a cog between the engine and the propshaft.
A Losost is a special derivative of a Locost invented by numpties who can't spell.
Mk Enginnering used to offer an electic reverse for Sierra diffs. I think a large gear was sandwitched between the prop and diff which was driven by a starter motor. Can't seem to find any details of it though as they now specialise in exhausts.
