Just had an outstanding quote!

I have just had an outstanding quote from Power Steering Services in Greenwich for the overhaul of the steering rack on the Cerbera.

I called a few TVR specialists and I was quoted over £650 for overhaul!!! I thought that was crazy. So on recommendation I called the company above and had a quote, in writing, for £130 yes £130!!! I was going to overhaul it myself but I don’t think its even worth now.

Thought I should pass this info on, I will let you know what the end result is like.

That's great news as I mine is starting to show some play. I may do the same nearer the next MOT.

Keep an eye in it. I found my car was tramlining a lot and on closer inspection I found that the tyres had worn unevenly on the front. A quick inspection show a small amount of play in the rack, so a new (overhauled) rack and a geo check is in order.
