Buying a used maserati
Discussion
Hi I am considering to buy a used Maserati granturismo 2008. I have some questions, firstly do you think six owner for a 11 yesr old car is high? For same price , one car got 6 owners but 60000 miles and other one is 80000 with 4 owners, which one you will pick? Also is the colour choice affect resale value of this car? Silver with red interior or deep blue with beige interior look better?
Ditto the red interior, impossible to sell in europe, just bought one with a grey interior and its lovely, nobody wants the early manual here either, 10% premium for autos, drove both before i bought (hhad it on my 4200 and its still baf imo) auto zf is brilliant in manual or auto.
4.7 auto non red interior with lowest mileage poss with fmsh and you wont go wrong, they have a good reputation for reliability

Whichever you decide to go for make sure you find a decent specialist and have a full pre-purchase inspection completed before handing over any cash. Ask in the Maserati section for advice.
Is this is the silver/red one BTW (It's actually Grey/Burgundy)?

If it checks out it looks like a nice one to me. The colour combination is also a lot better than your original description and I don't imagine would be a an issue for resale. Looks a lot of car for £19k.

Burgundy (bordeaux) is lovely and pretty rare with no resale problems, red (Rosso Corallo) on the other hand..Is this is the silver/red one BTW (It's actually Grey/Burgundy)?

How long do you plan to keep the car for? It’s already 10 years old and a car like that as it heads to 15 say will only get harder to sell regardless of trim combination. If you are that concerned about resale value and losing money then think hard about buying one in the first place. The running costs, especially if something goes wrong, will easily dwarf any costs saved from buying the more boring trim combo one to maybe save a bit.

I would argue that if you're buying to keep for a while, buy a wacky interior.
That way it'll stand out when you come to sell, by which point, you'll be into hobby land and at that age vs cost, people will be on the look out for something unusual.
I know I did when buying daft old cars.

Hi it is a light silver one with red interior with full hr owen service history . It is from a main Ford dealer. 66000 miles with 5 owners. For 19000, is it a good deal?
Well the one I linked to above has fewer owners, fewer miles, a much better colour combination and a similar price, so probably not?Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
