Might know of one. Where are you based? What are you looking to achieve from the donor car?

I think that looking for such a car would require travelling any distance as necessary, not sure you will have too much success on a local search.

Yup, in my experience the things worth while in life usually require a bit of time/travel/or money! (tick all that apply)

Are you looking for any panels/exterior parts specifically or have you just got yourself into the unfortunate situation of needing the whole lot!?

Travelling is not a problem to view, including into europe , I just answered what I was asked about location , chances of finding something on the doorstep is pretty remote & didnt really expect to.

The heading describes what I am potentionally looking for , a non runner or one with damaged motor ,must be manual though

Any info would be appreciated on such a thing

The V8 engines are very solid, I fear any written-off car you might find might have crash damage rather than a broken engine...

I wonder if an Aston Martin V8 Vantage has ever had an engine replacement, using a Jaguar AJ-V8 engine.

Those Jaguar engines must be fairly easy to find (probably by buying a car for modest cost), and perhaps the engine mounting points are the same as the AMV8.

Would be short on power, unless their supercharged version was used (370bhp).
I suppose though, without a dry sump, it might not even fit under the bonnet.

That was the origins of the AMV8 engine, before Cosworth worked their magic.

No use to OP but there was one for sale a while back that had had engine problems and therefore needed a replacement engine, was still over £20k iirc but it does show these things happen

They sometimes have flood damaged cars where the engine has taken on water.

Trouble is these are often Cat B so can go back on the road in any form.

Was a sensible mileage 2006 manual at BCA today for £21,800 + charges so maybe worth looking there.

When I popped in to Peters a couple weeks ago he had a V8V 4.3 with a dead engine, it had been sitting quite a while by the looks of it.
