Working at the DVLA

Is there somebody on PH who is working at the DVLA or knew somebody who is working at the DVLA.
I bought an TVR in England and I lost the V5 document.
The Dutch DVLA do not accept a copy which I had made of the V5 document.
So what to do?

If the V5 is in your name, write to the DVLA. If not, ask the previous owner to very kindly request a duplicate and forward it on to you. Either way will probably take 3-5 weeks.
