Hello at all
please for a friend with his 2008 manual DBS....
for years. once the cruise control is engaged, it always disengages within 30 seconds maximum.
AM local dealer didn't look much...and didn't find the problem!
some ideas where to start?
i see part 1 to begin...

I had a faulty brake switch on my V12 Vantage that would disengage the cruise. The brake lights would flicker temporarily but being behind me I couldn't see it. From memory its a ford part.

Had the same issue. Cruise control would keep cutting out, finally worked out that it would cut out when going over bumps in the road.

Then was made aware that my brake lights were very sensitive to the slightest touch of the brakes.

Replaced the brake switch (Cheap Ford Part) Problem sorted!

I had a problem with my V8V with cruise control not engaging every time and then when it did engage would not respond to the ‘up’ button. I was told it was the cruise control module and it was replaced under extended warranty - no problem since.

Sorry Phil, no idea of the part number or even what it looked like - the dealer (Works) explained that was replaced to solve the problem and it did so I enquired no further. Sorry not to be more helpful. Dave.

I might be wrong but pretty sure the is no CC module, it is built in the engine ECU, when retrofitting CC to a non CC equipped AM you have to change the steering wheel for one with the CC switches and then have it AMDS enabled.
