Been meaning to tick it off for years but never got around to it.... not to stay, just to pop in and watch from there. Think I’ll do for something different this year early Sunday morning.

Has anyone been in recent years?

Are they still allowing people to drive up and view from the hotel?

Isn’t there a small charge to get in?

Is it worth it for the different viewing angle?

Cheers

We drive there from 4 - 7pm. Its excellent. 15 euros....baguette and a drink thrown in.

Side lane entry near the main road...access to a chicane and a big tv inside

Cheers, sounds good.

It’s closer to the chicane than I remembered looking on google maps. I wondered if there was access to the barriers.

It would be nice to do something different this year.

Love this place, and we tend to head there on a Sunday morning.

Couple of phone pictures I took through the fence in 2016 so you know what to expect.

I think the place is fairly safe simply from the access point of view. It’s too much of an effort to get around to it for most.

It’s well known to fans but even I’ve not got around to it yet. Put it on ‘must do’ this year though to find out for myself.

Cheers for the pics, it looks worthwhile.

Early Sunday I think will be nice.

Getting there is definitely a science! Had great fun one year going round a big old circle of farm tracks in an XKR.

Warm beer, stale sandwiches & a bearded lady serving you for €15. You’d also need a “special ops” soldier to find the place.

Anyone been here for the start of the race?

Obviously goes without saying it’s dreadful place and is to be avoided!

I've been meaning to give this place a try for sometime but you lot have put me right off. Cheers.

So I won't be seeing any of you there probably on Sunday morning.

Next, you'll be saying that the various woodland tracks that lead to the armco here and there are laced with bears and other flesh eating creatures.

Oh I forgot to mention that...who told you? Still they might not be that hungry by Sunday morning after eating the 10 of us who probably won't go there on Saturday afternoon.
It's just a simple case of AVOID

Been there for the finish, we avoid the start because we don't want to be tarred and feathered by the staff
