The listening experience on MW & LW on my current Alpine unit is dire. Does anyone have any experience of using a DAB head unit as a solution ?

Had a Blaupunkt DAB53 head unit in the Chim, and was so pleased with it, had it moved to the T350t...

DAB aerial was hidden in the dash, so not visible outside.

DAB is, however, patchy, so I'd check how good it is in your area before spending £££ on a head unit. You might be better off buying a Modwise aerial booster/amplifier thingy instead!

DAB is rubbish. FM is better quality believe it or not.

I have the modwise aerial amp in my car and I get MW absolutely fine.
