I watched a you tube video of a bike review and the rider started with a plug, for what I think he said was a "shark skin" jacket that was very breathable.

I'm guessing it was some kind of woven mesh jacket, after last year's summer heat, it sounds ideal.

So what are people wearing in the summer? My one piece leather held suit was stifling. Don't fancy that again.

I have a Vanson cordura mesh jacket, armoured etc, really flows a lot of air. Has a light windproof liner you can put in first thing in the morning and remove later.

Latest version of it here, I have an older version https://vansonleathers.com/mens-leather-motorcycle...

Do a search during last year's scorcher there were plenty of ideas. I still fancy the Knox zephyr jacket myself.

I bought the Knox a few weeks ago, it's a good jacket, nice and light and offers ok protection. I've done a few miles in it now but will save it for when it get stuffy hot. I paid £150 from Infinity.

I went for an RST mesh jacket last summer during the scorching heat. It's brilliant. Feels like wearing nothing once moving. Lovely airflow. In fact i like it so much i'm wearing it today even though it's not that warm. I prefer being cooler rather than warmer.

Last year when toasty I got one of these:

The front is mesh, as is the inside of the arms. Not sure it'd offer much protection if I went down... but certainly made riding in hot weather almost pleasurable.

I've got that one, I wore that without the lining when I was home in April. Way too hot for summer.

I think I'll go for the spidi airtech armour pro.

I’ve used one of those for about 5 years now, perfect spain, Portugal and France summer jacket, it’s lovely when it’s over 20 degrees

Can you still buy the (often made-to-measure) Kevlar clothing that’s used by the likes of speedway riders?

I have a Dainese mesh jacket which has been good for decent weather. Anything over 20 degrees or so and it's ideal. It has a liner which is surprisingly effective at keeping the wind out when it's a bit cooler (early mornings) though you will be cold at much below 12-15 degrees. With the liner out I was fine up to about 30 degrees. After that I'm not sure that many jackets are going to be comfortable but I'd rather have the protection than not.

Have a Dainese AIR FRAME D1 TEX JACKET. Great jacket when over 25+, like last summer.

Nice jacket! Like it a lot. What size did you get compared to others? I got a 50 3XL in the RST CPX-C as I need a bit of room, not sure if 50 Dainese is bigger or smaller than other makes.
