Will a T350 get on a ferry ok?

As the subject says... will a TVR T350c get on a ferry with no damage?

I've booked a ferry for Le Mans, up until a week ago I was taking my Leon Cupra R which had a low front spoiler, this never scraped on my previous trips on ferries and I don't think the T350 is any lower at the front? If I did scrape the Leon there wouldn't really be a problem as it is a bit of £15 plastic.... not quite the same on the TVR!

The ferry is a P&O one from Dover to Calais if it makes any difference.

I'm worried that the front of the car will scrape on the ramps :( Does anyone have any experience of taking their T350 on a ferry?

One of our party last year (Valhalla) had no problems... his is quite an early car and sits VERY low...

Don't worry, the ferry (and tunnel) people are very good at taking car of people's P&J, and there are LOTS of sports cars about at that time

We took the Tamora on the Dover-Calais P&O ferry last year - no problems at all. P&O were brilliant. When in the queue before boarding, I spoke to one of the loaders and asked if we could go on the lower deck because of the low ground clearance. They actually pulled me out of the line and put me on first, right at the front surrounded by lorries! There was a huge amount of space around the Tamora as a result, unlike the normal half inch gap.

Same happended on the way back - even the French loaders were great!

I'll be at Le Mans, but without the Tamora as I'm with a bunch of beer swilling p***-artists who tend to use our cars as seats, tables, etc. We usually camp very close to the Dunlop bridge so don't have far to go for the action.

I'm camping at Beausejour with a T350, Tuscan, BMW Z3M Coupe, 350Z, Civic Type R and some S2000's - we should be parked near Speed Chills, and spending most of our time there

I will also be in Beausejour with my T350c (hopefully - I don't have it yet), Nissan 350Z, Subaru Impreza WRX and a stripped out SEAT Ibiza "race car" (Perspex windows, etc.)!

Not sure where we will be in Beausejour, never been there and was originally planning on going to Houx Annexe. Feel free to recommend part of the site to head for. See you there!

took mine twice to le mans from newhaven. Best advise i can give is travel light, helps if passenger gets out before ramp and drive very gently. Last year the back did clip the ground when going up the internal ramp but did no damage.

If you haven't yet joined Speed Chills, you should see if you can - they have a farmhouse next to Beausejour where they cook English breakfasts, evening meals, and have English draught beer with them - fantastic place!

My Tamora, on the ferry to Ireland, was catapulted into the air by some lorry driver who hit the 2 lane metal ramp very fast while I was still on it!

Hoping for more luck when I get the Bologne - Dover ferry for Le Mans...

Don't think you will have any problems on the large Ferry's, but i have had some trouble on the smaller type. Went over to Mull last year in the Tam and there is and art to getting on and off these. Sa ewith the one in the lakes on Windermere!

You have to go at the approach ramp at 45degs so that the first front wheel lifts the front of the car, you can then straighten up and clear the ramp. A lot depends on the angle and length of the approach ramp.

Thanks podie, yes i had no probs last year on the ferries with my T350c, Been looking at one or two sagarisis(sagari).
They are only about 70mm of the ground at the rear.
so not sure about those.
