997.1 2s or 997.1 4s?

Any help on which one to buy greatly appreciated. Looking for a 4 seater convertible to fit 2 young kids in to enjoy at the week-end.

Have had the 996 turbo, but had to sell a few years back now. Loved it, but interior very dated now. Any advice on whether I should go for a 997.1 2s or 997.1 4s?

p.s. appreciate I need an inspection to check the IMS bearing and bore score....any other tips appreciated.

Hi Mark,
The 2s has a bigger frunk as there is no front diff. It also feels twitchier than the very sure footed 4s. That might be good or bad depending on your view! Both cars are epic.

Had a 7.1 2S and never felt it twitchy at all. I prefer the purer steering and handling. Hence, personally I'd always go 2S on the 997s. For some people the wide body looks of the 4S and AWD (albeit additional traction vs 2S is rather limited) in Winter are more important.

I’ve just gone 997.1 2S...I don’t think the 4S looks as good without the break bar a la 997.2. Personal preference tho....

Both awesome...I’m loving mine..feels so mechanical coming from an RS6

Having spent a lifetime thinking i was going to keep every car forever (including Boxster S & 997 1.5 Turbo)......i think i have found the one... 997.1 C4S (with gen 2 wheels).....love it !!
