I am buying a photo print from a photographer in Turkey. I don’t think he has a payment option on his website. The total cost will be about £100. Can i just transfer £100 into his bank as if it was here in UK and he’ll receive it in Lire?

Yes but you'll get charged fees. I paid a euro account from my Lloyds it cost £15. Presumably it will cost him too. PayPal or bitcoin probably best.

Had a vision of someone turning up and peeling off slices of wafer thin Turkey when I saw the title.

If it’s frozen you can probably give them a bit less as they can use it over time
