Guys, I hadn't washed my van since new 2.5 years ago, its now time to sell.

I gave it a wash the other day, and the bodywork after is like sandpaper, its so rough....

Is it a claying kit like this that I want to get it smooth again?
Or do I want something else?

Given that the paint is really rough, AND you have a van- get a clay mitt. Whilst it won't give you as fantastic a result as a clay bar, it will be 10 times quicker to go over the whole van, and will remove most of the contamination. Use plenty of lubricant (water would normally be fine)

I'd agree - a clay mitt will do the job for you! Only thing to watch is if you have a darker coloured vehicle and don't lubricate enough.

A tar remover followed by fallout remover will probably be good enough and save you a lot of time vs claying.
