Our skoda fabia of 2003 vintage has today had the glow plug warning light up on the dashboard. Engine starts
and runs fine. After starting engine the warning light flashes continuesly. Looked in handbook but nothing found.
Any comments / advise please.

With Ford stuff that signifies injector problems, could be similar for Skoda?

Fault code scan. You're just guessing at stuff otherwise.

Check your brake lights are working though.

Thanks for replies, checked brake lights and only the ‘third’ brake light is working. With only ignition on and not touching the brake the third brake light is showing two lights permanently on, press brake pedal and the whole strip then lights up as normal?

That was an inspired guess - what's the connection between brake lights and the glow plug warning light?

Seen it before on a couple of vw group cars, I've no idea what the exact connection is but it seems dodgy brake lights/switch can trigger a flashing glow plug light.

Had the same years ago on a Mk 4 Golf. Brake light switch I think behind the pedal was toast.
