Just had something flash up regarding this from the Evening Standard. It doesn't sound good, RIP to those poor kids that have died.

6 children involved, 2 dead, a man and a woman arrested, and police urging people not to post anything on social media?

This will, unfortunately, be all over social media. I genuinely think that there need to be law lessons in schools and part of it needs to focus on publishing stuff online. People don't realise that the laws relating to journalists - the papers, TV, radio, etc - apply to everyone. In this case assets have been made which means "proceedings are active" so certain thing s can't be published.

Social media really needs controlling before trials start collapsing.

It feels as if at the moment it is to do with the grim nature of whatever has happened there.

I just did a little 'Daily Mail' style journalistic research of my own (probably more diligent than most DM journos) on a certain social media website, rumours of a shooting were causing panic earlier as it's so close to a school, but that is not the case according to the Police. I won't speculate any further, hopefully the police will give an update so we can understand wtf has happened.

It does sound like a gas type incident without an overt cause of death.

From a policing POV just what you need going into a warm bank holiday weekend.

It's in the Shiregreen/Fir Vale area, which has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in recent months.

Social Media is rife at the moment on local groups but the admins are deleting and locking threads very quickly

No suggestion at the moment it was the parents.

Whatever has happened it’s yet more awful news for that area.

A good few miles apart - the house is in Hillsborough, which is not as renowned for being as rough as Shiregreen - https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/crime/police-seal-o...

As well as hoping the other kids are ok, mentally and physically, I hope the attending officers/ambulance staff are properly managed after this as well. I know from bitter experience what effect incidents like this can have on one.
