My friend's fuel cap on a 2005 Audi A4 estate has stuck shut/locked. A bit of a problem as the car is nearly out of petrol.

I've looked in all the obvious places (behind removable trim sections) for a cable release, but can't find one.

Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks

Skoda fit th manual pov spec cars with a release for boot which is on driver door insert ( outside of driver seat on the sill). On other better spec cars, the fuel cap release is also mounted close by. Other than that, perhaps it's time to ask the techs at Briscoda.net for help.

Ah, well- time to go asking on Briscoda. Forget the name, a lot of techs on there are VAG trained on the overall range of cars. Most helpful blokes, unlike VAG.

My B6 A4 saloon was the same as this video. Look for a similar round access panel.

There should be a red cord behind the panel.

Found it... but hidden in a location that's bottom right of the picture above.

Thanks everyone.
