Brake upgrade advice

I'm considering upgrading the disks and possibly pads on my 4.3 (road use only) and don't want to spend a fortune. Wondering what other people would recommend having not gone down this route before...

If you don't have braided hoses, these are a good upgrade.

I have no experience of braided hoses...how will they help?

The rubber type ones expanded with the pressure.... hence full pressure not applied to calliper.

If the braiding prevents the pipe expansion giving more pressure to the callpier... thus improving braking.


Changing the pads to fast road pads (Mintex ones are good) helps as well

For road and occasional track use Peninsula fitted Brembo front discs (same pattern as standard - no drilling or grooves), standard rear discs, Ferodo pads (they recommended these over EBC) and braided hoses. Result is a tight responsive and well moderated pedal. If the system's in tip-top condition it should be fine for road use.

Thanks...so what sort of cost could I expect for that kind of upgrade?
