Hi All, looking for some PH expertise. Probably going to stick an order in for the facelift Macan S this week, but wanted to see if the options i've selected are must haves, or unnecessary. Would also be good to hear if i'm missing anything people do consider must haves!

Haven't listed every single option, but main ones that iI've gone for are;

- Pano roof
- Roof rails
- 18 way electric adaptive seats
- Privacy glass
- Air suspension (worth at £1860?)
- Park assist
- Adaptive cruise
- 75 Litre Tank
- Speed limit indicator
- Bose sound system

I haven't specced sports chromo as i can't see it necessary on an SUV, or the sports exhaust, as not sure it worth it for £1700 extra. What are people's thoughts? Is this going to affect residuals too much?

Air is definitely worth it with 21" wheels, maybe not with smaller wheels. I'm on my second GTS and I think the Sports Exhaust is worth it as it adds a bit of drama. Sports Chrono is a bit over the top on an SUV, I think I've only used it half a dozen times on both my cars. Other than that I'd add:
- Full leather
- Heated steering wheel
- Heated screen
- Auto dim mirrors
- 18 spare wheel

I wouldn't spec a sports exhaust again as it’s seriously ott on my 2017 GTS. Maybe with the new filters it’ll be toned down a bit. Some people think it sounds great though so each to their own.

I have 20” wheels without air suspension and it’s fine. Very good in fact.

18 ways very much worthwhile and a little extra leather and alcantara roof lining really lifts the interior.

£1860 is presumably for air suspension + PASM so worth it I think

First I would look for though is nice wheels, which are you going for?

I’ve got one but certainly didn’t pay that for it. The Turbo PP is a brilliant car...best daily driver Porsche makes in my book. There are obviously times when a 911 would be more fun but there are also times when something more comfortable is better and it’s a ridiculously good drive for an SUV.

Back to the OP’s question...PASM definitely and as above Full Leather over Sports Exhaust or Sports Chrono definitely

Was at the OPC when my Dad ordered a new Macan in Dec. Only option the sales dude said he recommended (for better residuals) was the pano roof. “Can’t give away a Macan without a pano roof” was his joke. Proceeded to prove his point by pointing out each of the 10+ Macans on site awaiting collection. Every one had a pano roof...

From experience on a new Macan, a Panoramic Roof, Heated Seats, Reversing Camera and at least 19-inch wheels as the 18-inch wheels look comical and the last one I tried to sell on 18-inch wheels took FOREVER.

The Macan Turbo PP Exclusive Edition was a limited edition of about one per UK dealer. The Exclusive bits list went on for miles...!

+1 air sus & PASM - even more important with bigger wheels. THE key option in my book.

I have the pano but doesn't do much for me as tend to have the blind closed to avoid the cabin being too light. Sunroof open on a motorway is a PITA. Very low value for me...

Missus loves the heated steering.

Bose is v mediocre system for the price - includes a piffling 6" sub in the boot in a plastic box... That had to come out for starters...

Leather interior is classy and nice - helps validate the silly cost of them!

Be clear you can get comfortable with the non 18 way seats or spec them.

Enjoy!

Interesting comments I’ve owned 3 macans and only the first one had a pan roof, would never bother to spec a pan roof. But would always add upgraded and extended leather, Bose and 20inch wheels wouldn’t consider any Porsche macan without this nowadays as the standard leather and dash looks cheap in my opinion and some of the basic wheels look far to small for the vehicle size.

Agree with most of the spec. Air/PASM/20" is a very good combination.

A lot of people do like the Panoramic Roof, and the PSE is very nice.

I bought a turbo today which makes finding the ideal spec a lot easier as they come with some of it as standard (mainly PASM and 18 way adaptive seats with memory)

My must haves FWIW:
21” turbo or sport classic
Heated seats
Pano roof
PSE
Black window surrounds

Nice to have:
Reverse camera or surround
Air suspension
Sports Chrono

Must not haves:
Red leather (surprisingly common)
Walnut interior trim (ok as rare)

I think the spec on this one is perfect. Lacking the GTS interior pack, but otherwise - it's all there......

PTV+
Active cruise
Heated F and R seats
Created F and R seats
Lane assist
Rear airbags
Privacy glass
PAS+
Light comfort
Connect+
Black window surrounds

Very happy bunny, lots of silly questions incoming no doubt !

I don’t mind it. Need to see it in the flesh of course. I’d prefer the GTS Interior pack but can’t have everything.

BTW, this is an interior!:

My spec (ordered end of Jan and arriving in a week or two) is here. I might have overdone it slightly.
