96 Ford Fiesta Auto Drive Issues
Discussion
Hi all,
I recently bought a 96 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Auto. Considering it's age, it's only done 40k miles, and side from some scratches and ware n' tare on the outside, it's all round pretty good.
The problem I have, is that when I place the car initially in drive (or reverse) (with my foot on the brake), you can hear the engine struggle. If come to a junction and place my foot on the brake, it still continues to want to go forward, and jerks bit. If I sit there for say 5 seconds, it finally gets it's bearings and calms down.
Is this going to be an issue with the gearbox, or sensor issue? Where can I look?
Thanks for any suggestions. As you can probably tell, I'm not a mechanic, I just got the car cheap(ish) and want to use it as a daily runner to work and back, rather than using my other car.
