I bought a Street Triple last year, after a fling with a K6 GSXR1000. Thing is, I’ve only done 500 miles.
Thinking of selling and maybe buying what I’ve always considered the anti Christ of bikes, the Goldwing.
Is anyone going to be brace enough to give some real world feedback? If I buy one, it’ll be used to go to and from the airport, and a school run now and again. I’ve always liked bikes but the Atom, Griff and other things keep me busy. I’ll never ride like I did and the idea makes me smile.
Other option is the well trodden path of a GS. But I don’t looks like Ewan McGregor, not even in the dark.
Please help.

only one I would consider is the 2018 onweards , the old ones are like a sofa crossed with a supermarket trolley never sure which way its going next . The new one is truly amazing and while the glowing guys hate it as it has less luggage capacity for me that was a plus as its 100mm narrower than a pan.
7 speed DCT was brilliant too definitely would have that and it gets reverse too with that option.
Front suspension very clever lots going on while the bars stayed completely unaffected by bumps.

Just how they ride. I'm curious, could be a laugh to take my daughter to school and commute to the airport. Are they really hard on anything, do they steer and handle?
It feels like a big sports bike to me. I thought it handled really well given it's weight and was throwing it round corners in California. It's only slow speed stuff does it feel big compared to normal bikes and you feel it's weight but it's still not a problem. Filtering on it was easy enough given it's width. Tyres were the main thing but manufacturers are now making tyres for heavier bikes so I don't think that is as much of an issue anymore. I don't think my dad ever had a problem with his but he meticulously maintained it. The new one is about 75% the size of the last one! It looks pretty good as far as these types of modern 'cruiseliners' go. I think it only has the competition of BMW's K1600. The K1600 is sensational for long distance motorway cruising and where twisties are not important, solo or 2up, and I can imagine the latest Goldwing can't be dissimilar. Probably worth testing them back-to-back.
