I usually use the online parts configurator to find parts, but I'm stumped when trying to find a part no. for a pair of rear springs.

Apparently there's a spring table used to calculate the on board equipment and match the springs to the weight. Does anyone know where I can find this elusive spring table? I've exhausted my google patience! The old link in forums no longer works.

Nope - Realoem doesn't list springs.

Might the original part number still be legible on the old springs?

There are no part numbers on OEM springs, but instead a colour code, which can be deciphered somewhere.

Fair enough, I've seen both approaches on different cars.

I can’t say I have ever seen anything than colour codes on springs, across several makes.

I've seen part numbers put onto the powder coating of springs with what looks like it might be some kind of laser dots (white "dot matrix" characters on a black coating), but in fairness, I don't think they were OEM ones.

This one worked, I entered my VIN number, then I clicked 'Specific parts search', then 'spring table'. The options present on my car were pre-ticked.

Brilliant, I knew I could count on PH!

Hello,

These links are not working anymore.

Does anyone have an updated URL / login for bmw parts? I want to confirm "springs table" for my car.
Thanks

BMWCats have some, at least for E46/E53 that I've checked - it's in Russian but fairly self explanatory
