Morning all
The mounting plate of the left rear boot strut (lower end) has separated from the body of my 2007 Vantage.
Looks like a tricky repair job as it is in the fibreglass section of the body.
Anyone come across this before?
Thanks

That portion of the body is steel, and a repair plate is available from AML.

not sure on the rules regarding posting links to YouTube, but if you Google "2006 Aston Martin Vantage Trunk Lid Strut Mounting Point Failure And Fix" you should find the link which explains the repair.

Mine split from the body too, Aston sell the parts (actually quite cheaply) and its quite an easy fix.

Original poor design really, but hey ho.......

I had this problem, the revised bracket cures the problem BUT make sure it is well sealed, the bracket was already fitted to my car but I had a water leak, I finally traced it back to this bracket so I sealed it with silicon and the leak was cured.
