Good Morning,

I live in the middle of Glasgow and Edinburgh. I was down in London for the bank holiday. I spent a day walking around looking at watches. It was disappointing to be honest. Less watches in stock than same time last year.

However the vacheron constantin overseas blew me away. For starters you can buy one today or short waiting list. The blue dial is stunning and very deep. The bracelet is amazing and even has a "glide lock extension" that a lot of people don't know. It come with a real alligator strap and a rubber strap that totally changes the look of the watch. It is a great size but the Chronograph does get a little thick. The movement is an in house piece of art. All for £17K!!!

I nearly bought a used Hulk at £12.5K. I own a Blue dial Royal Oak 15400. if I didn't have the Royal Oak I would buy the Overseas in a heart beat.

I think these watches could get hard to source soon after they become more recognised.

That’s the one. Stunning watch. The duel time and chronograph to get a little thicker. Water resistant to 150m. What I like is that Vacheron only make 30 thousand watches a year. It will be rare.

25K, unless it’s gone up. Only somewhat rarer than an Audemars Piguet, who produce 40K pieces annually.
If rarity is your primary concern, then maybe you should be focusing on one of the 50 only pieces H Moser & Cie Pioneer CS Rotating Bezel (Diver to you and me, even though it isn’t…strictly speaking), which is more in the ballpark than the Urban Jurgensen One.

The VC Overseas latest version with in house movement is certainly an attractive watch and is an alternative to the Royal Oak and the Nautilus.
The latest version has gone up in price substantially over the previous version - for example the previous blue overseas chrono was £16,300 the new version blue chrono is £25,300. The new version comes with a nifty interchangeable strap system which works very well at the watch head end but is flawed at the deployant end. Unfortunately VC watches don't tend to hold their value too well and are available with big discounts from new. It is unlikely that this watch would be difficult to source in any version.

Yep, I tried on a blue dial Overseas in Edinburgh a couple weeks ago.

Way out of my budget obviously, but seems like a great watch for the price, I really like them and the brand. Feels like a slightly under-the-radar alternative to the Nautilus and Royal Oak.. I agree that now is probably a good time to buy as they are readily available, though might not be for too long as more people start looking at them if they can't get their PP or AP.

A really tremendous watch. A bit different to the usual suspects, and fine watchmaking combined with welcome practicality (150m water resistance; decently anti-magnetic; strap/bracelet change options; bracelet fine-adjustment). I wouldn’t expect them to hold RRP nor become difficult to source though. If you’re (talking generally here, not the OP) the sort of person who wants another particular brand just because of the brand name/model, I doubt many will accept anything else.
