Sony Bravia Channel Editor

Has anyone tried to use the Sony Channel Editor software to customise the channel list on their TV? I'm trying to use the four Favourites feature & seems it doesn't work. If I copy channels from the main channel list into Favourite 1 then delete a channel from the main list then it diappears from the Favourite 1 list as well. It also happens in the reverse direction which is even less useful.
