Not sure where the price is coming from for the Quicksilver option?

I suggest you talk to them and work something out - I had a set delivered in Feb - nothing like you're quoting....nothing at all.

Thanks guys,

I spoke to QuickSilver and they wont budge on their price. In their email they mentioned how popular their systems are around the world including their quality and services - usual sales talk which I have zero interest in. Obviously this does not help me to buy one of theirs as I wanted technical details on the exhaust including why they are more expensive than Larini. Larini also offers quality and services, actually Larini offers life time gurantee whereas QuickSilver is 25 years. Hhmmmmm...

If their price matched Larini I will be on the phone with my credit card straight away.

The only difference apart from their high price is QuickSilver has one in stock now and Larini needs at least two weeks to make.

Though I am not in a hurry I guess I will go for the Larini.

Why can't you get a custom exhaust company to do something for around the £300 mark? Longlife for instance...

I bought 2 quicksilver rear boxes in January for £650 plus vat. Are you buying the whole exhaust? Mostly its only the rear boxes that need replacing.

The sound is fantastic if a little boomy at low revs around 1900-2000. The wife thinks its too loud but everyone else thinks its superb.

Its for the back exhaust (x2).

I think the Larini is the one to go for in the end...

Hey Bobbo did you get yours for a 3200?

Longlife? I will look into that now... perhaps they can make one with the shape I like?

For doing that you may have risked the price they offered me!

Yes mine was for my 3200. I cant see how they can have put the price up so much in 5 months. They will probably claim increase in steel price which is true but cant make that much difference.

I am shocked to learn that QuickSilver sold the same exhaust to someone else this year for only £650 + vat and now they ask from me well over £1,000 for the same.

No choice but to strike them off my list!

Sorry QuickSilver but you can't go around ripping off Maserati owners like this, afterall we are a tightly knitted community and we will learn from each other quickly.

Larini are still the winners however they had recently fluctuated their prices too resulting in upsetting another 3200 owner. Now I am waiting to hear from two more sources before committing myself.

Will keep you all posted.

My gosh, £496 inclusive!

I just emailed them to see if they would reconsider and let me have it for that price.

Lets hope they do and I will to them!

Got a reply from them, to keep it short the answer was a no!

Anyway I spoke to Meridien about all of this and in the end I have decided to keep my originals.

Better that way afterall they do have a better shape.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi,
Just thought i could add to this page.

Have a look at my current post at

www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83797

I went to buy a Quicksilver exhaust for my Ferrari 550 only to find the price had trebled in just 10 months. The centre section had gone from £312 to £880!!!!
Don't mind paying for a good product, just don't like being ripped off!
