Hi I am in the states (UK based) and seen this in Macys.. it's a used watch, but the person behind the desk didn't seem to know much if anything about it... Any idea on age or value in the UK?
I'm saving up for a daytona but if this Is it a bargain I might buy it and trade it up when I'm ready... She offered me 10% of RRP.

Looks to be a 16610 so anywhere between 1987 & 2010 date-wise... you'll need to see the serial number under the 6 on the case (but concealed under strap) to be sure of date.

Prices start at about £5.5k in the UK for an early model in nice condition with no box or papers (I assume this doesn't have papers)

Probably worth > a grand less without both. A trader would chip you at least £500 if you’re looking to sell and you’d struggle to find someone privately you’d have got a higher price from.

That price, minus the 10% discount, comes out at £6k before exchange rate losses.

There are plenty in the UK at around that price, with box and papers.

I can't see the point unless it comes down by another chunk of cash.

Don't forget the 20% VAT if the OP brings it back to the UK.

Well, I’d just wear the watch and walk on through. A used watch shouldn’t attract attention.

She offered me 25% of list which isn't too bad but might be hard to sell here...

And it being the US, that price on the label does not include sales tax (VAT equivalent), which depending on where you are can be getting on for 10%.
