Perhaps the police ought to try a few stings like this with the Irish travelling community too?

Lots of us have been on this over the week, it was very interesting, even if it was very tiring

Why not just stay out of it and let them get on with it.

Chances are their would have been no trouble and the guys were arrested for the sake of it.

Head copper must have been over to Holland and thought, yeh why not.

Tits.

Well that's what they do with the "travellers".

Assumtions assumtions.

And yes, let them do as they please. It very rarely spills over into other peoples lives, unlike the above mentioned gang.

I use the terms rozzer and plod because these are the terms my plod mates use.

I don't buy in to the acab mentality; it's a difficult job that I know I don't have the patience to do.
Fair enough, there probably are some absolute wkers, but isn't that the case in all walks of life?

Anyway, back on topic, I'm surprised they made so much effort and so many arrests without something much bigger kicking off.
Having met a few hardcore organisation members over the years, the "mess with one, mess with all" ethos is ingrained in them.

I'd imagine the overwhelming majority of Hell's Angels (in fact all patch clubs) are knocking on pensionable age these days. All the ones I've seen in the last decade wouldn't strike fear into their nursing home, let alone society as a whole.

Undoubtedly some scummers, but on the whole I'm certain they aren't the rebels they wish they were.

To be fair, they had a police escort front and rear, so the road was effectively theirs, and putting on a show has been a key element of a 'run' since the sixties.

'Rozzer' is more James May. Rik Mayall probably would have gone with 'The Pigs'

You're mistaken with the Angels.
Their demographic is still the same as it ever was and the basic active member is still late 20's to mid 50's.
Maybe there are just more older members kicking around than there were 30 years ago as people live longer.

Remember of course, that an evil bd aged 65 is still an evil bd, only now he has a pension and a bunch of grandsons to kick the st out of you on his behalf...

hehe
