Hi recently got a 992 and will be getting a driving experience from the dealer. Anyone been on this? Is it a good day? What do you get to drive?

Everyone on here whos bought a new car has been on one I'm sure,

Its in your own interest to drive the same car as what you've bought just to experience its capabilities unless your not interested and fancy something else.

Contact the PEC and ask what’s available to you on the day you choose to go.

Unless you tell them otherwise beforehand they'll assume you'll drive model you bought.

So if you want to try something else let them know when you book.

Great fun, apparently my missus screamed lots.

They won’t let you “trade up” so you can’t want for the GTS or Turbo to be released and then get that for half a day. To be honest you get so much from it in terms of understanding the car in low grip conditions etc it is best to use the same car as you’re getting IMHO.

Cheib is correct but just to clarify up to last year it was possible to drive a 'better' model if available at no extra charge but now there is a nominal charge of circa £40.

They have a great setup, particularly enjoyed the doughnut session! The instructors were great and really made you push the car, the opposite of the red letter day experiences.

i have been 3 times , you learn about the cars , have good fun , and you improve your driving ~ which then improves your driving for every car you drive afterwards.

the best fun you can have with your clothes on!
