I've just replaced the driver side one with a new one from TVR Parts. Having put it in, the left right control works fine, but the up and down is back to front. Up tilts the mirror down and vice versa.

Any ideas how I can sort this? The three wire connector is the same as the old unit, (marked 1, 2, and 3) and, yes, the connector is in the right way!

Not a showstopper, but irritating as the (not changed) passenger side one functions as it's supposed to.

Watching with interest, as when I swapped to Corrado mirrors, the exact same thing happened.

I have the same issue. According to TVR Parts, this was the only available mirror motor when they last replenished their stock. The reversed north/south operation was not fully communicated at the time. They now intend to update the part description on their website. I hope that swapping leads/connectors may resolve the issue but I haven't got time to try that at present.
