Can anyone kindly help with finding a paint code? I have an 06 DB9 and need a small scuff painted on the lower front splitter.

The specification sheet says “British Racing Green (Out of Range Colours)”.

If anyone can provide the actual paint code I’d be very grateful.

Thanks!

This might be tricky. I learned that Aston have had over 12 shades for Aston Racing Green over the years - so the racing green that was on a DB4 is not the same racing green that might be on DB9 or a V12 vantage. I have Aston Racing Green so have this particular problem myself. Best to contact the factory with your VIN and ask for a paint code.

Cheers

Chris.

Thanks a lot Chris - very useful and I feared this might be the case!

Excuse my ignorance but can I just “contact the factory” (sounds too good to be true!) or I guess an AM main dealer should be able to use VIN to find paint code?

For a 2006MY DB9 it will be one of the following ‘Racing Greens’:-

AM Racing Green AST1140D
British Racing Green AST1107D
DBR9 Racing Green AST5019D

If it is 2005MY, there are a few more options

Aston Martin Racing Green 1383
British Racing Green - Rover (out of range) 1435
British Racing Green (out of range) 1390
DBR9 Racing Green 1461

In which case it is most likely 1390

Thank you Yellowtang - that’s very helpful.

Oddly it’s none of the 2006 model year paints you’ve suggested but it’s definitely a 2006 MY car as was built July 06.

It’s closest to the 1390 MY05 colour. Have attached a photo! Should be hearing back from dealer soon.

Just checked, it is actually the AST1107D as this too comes up as British Racing Green (Out of range Colours) on the spec sheet.

Thank you - yes, that’s correct!

I got confused as when I googled AST1107D, one of the paint repair kit photos that came up looked much lighter - (screenshot attached)

I’m just hoping that’s their mistake and my car hasn’t been resprayed a different shade since it was built!

Thanks again - really helpful.

Are you looking for a touchup stick or something more?

More than a touch-up stick but luckily not too much more!
