Bike transport from Scotland to Hertfordshire
Discussion
I've seen a bike I really like, in the right spec for the right money, but its up in Scotland (500 miles each way)
Does anybody have any bike transport companies that they would recommend to quote for the job? Its a track bike with a few spares and stands etc.
I could go collect it myself this weekend but I will be looking at around £300 for fuel and hotel plus 2 days off work, so it would probably make more sense looking to get a quote for someone else to do it.

Thanks, I have just tried Shiply as wellHi
You want Robbie Millar at Motomoves.
PM me for his email and mobile number.
He does all the Ducati Glasgow moves and brought my Panigale track bike down with all the stands and road bodywork for a decent price, and that was to Reading .... all very well secured when I looked in the van and everything delivered as expected.

Not used them myself but search for the biker bus, they are based in Scotland and do runs all over
Earlier this year I used Biker Bus to bring a bike down to Kent from Aberdeen. IIRC it was around £175.00. No complaints and very easy to deal with They do quite a few deliveries for the VJMC so they know how to look after your pride and joy. AceOfHearts said:
Shiply has worked out great, saved £20. I will let you know how it goes
Just a word of caution on Shiply, the range of couriers is quite wide, and not all of them specialise in bikes. The chap I sold my SV to used them, and the courier turned up with a 7.5t van with a tail lift, no ramps and only bungees to 'secure' it. Managed to break the clutch lever for the new owner. Definitely worth checking!
