....the engine and gearbox weigh ?

It's coming out and I need a crane to lift it.

Anyone done this ? Any tips ?

I understand that the 3.5 RV8 has a dry weight of 318lbs (144.24 Kg). I'd guess not significantly more for that under your bonnet: 350 lb maybe!? I'm sure a quick call to TVR Power or V8D would be your best source.
