It depends on how much you like the 996 vs 997 because that price will buy a very nice 997 C4S:

I think maybe because the 996 is in a rare yellow, 1 of 1 RHD, looks immense

Second one has rust on sills from photos. Pics 1 and 2
Only two years older than a 996 so all the things that you expect to sort on a 996 will also need doing. Nice looking if that is your thing.
As for the 996. Long owners thread here:

I really like it and think the price is very good esp with the suspension refresh. If I was buying a c4s this would be pretty much top of my list currently.
It's top dollar, especially for a 2002 car that's covered 76k, but then you should be buying on condition and history with this kind of thing and it does look a very good one.
Not a big fan of the yellow personally but that is utterly subjective of course. The mods seem tastefully done and those seats are gorgeous.
My only concern would be whether it would hold it's value with those mods as most buyers looking for a standard car I would suggest, but if you're buying to drive and enjoy then who cares about that?

It seems on the slightly expensive side.
There is a yellow C4S on eBay for 5k less, with a (non original) X51 engine fitted.

No proper service history, a bit tired, non original engine. You won't find a decent C4S for under £25K.There is a yellow C4S on eBay for 5k less, with a (non original) X51 engine fitted.
