wiper sweep distance

Since I've been driving the 280i for the last 3 weeks as my daily driver, I notice that the wiper on it only sweeps about 90 deg give or take a little. On my 350i, it sweeps nearly 180, a bit short of that actually. Anyway, can you adjust the amount of travel? Wanted to check before I take it all apart.

If they used to work ok I suspect wheel-boxes and the rack slipping/worn

If they have always been like that I suspect an incorrect gear has been fitted

Could be it's had a TR7 motor fitted.... They look similar but the switches are mounted in different positions and the gearing is different. As also said it could be play in the linkage/gears. You could try rotating the pinion 180 Deg (as it's actually only using half the teeth) and see if that makes any difference. Cheers Steve
