Howdy Folks,

Just posting for public posterity.

One of my bike YouTube videos was removed at the request of Dorna Sports:

>>
Video title: Aprilia RSV4 RF at Jerez in March 2016
Claimed by: Dorna Sports

This video can no longer be played on YouTube.
<<

Its a video I made, on my bike, with no music and apart from riding at Jerez I don't see why Dorna think it infringes on their MotoGP commercial rights. Its probably not down to me breaking MotoGP lap records.

Ho hum - I have disputed the claim but figured its worth a post just in cases other folks have been hit by a blanket copyright claim on YouTube trackday videos from Dorna.

This is the same Dorna Sports handed multi-million Euro fines for tax evasion, along with the CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta and CFO Enrique Aldama.

That's odd. Seems like it's been selected by some kind of AI rather than a human (or perhaps a really slapdash human!)

Let's hope you get that over turned.

Was the MotoGP at Jerez in March 2016?

Ive had the same, argued it like you are and they have agreed to remove the accusation

I've had a couple of random ones like that tbh when I've posted videos but mine are only ever riding. I don't do any of that vlogging

Just to close the issue. Had a notification Dorna dropped the copyright claim against me. Wish YouTube would spank these spurious copyright claimers but reading various forums it seems unlikely.

Put in a counter claim against one of Márquez’s onboards, see how they like it

Zarco nailed it - these days it's done by AI with occasional review, you just happened to trigger the system and get unlucky. Unfortunately this will be prevalent for a while until they refine the algorithms.
