Hi Steve
I've done quite a lot over the years. Large campaigns to one off promtoional / recruitment type stuff.

Lots of variables to consider and rates for media vary station to station. Production at the most basic level cen be cheap as chips, but as with everything else it depends on how sophisticated you want to be.

Feel free to send me some more detail by PM or on here and I'll give you some more detailed feedback.

Your local 'Crap FM' radio station will have a media pack ans will probably make it for you, if you don't want anything too fancy.

We recently got 30 x 30 sec slots on Connect FM (Kettering) for a client for £2k including production.

As with all advertising, it works best when integrated with other media (press ads, direct mail, etc) although depending upon what you're selling, a concentrated effort can work.

We get advertising on BBC Radio!

(sort of!)

Each Monday, we host a 15 min slot on BBC Essex talking about topical marketing issues, advertising and the like. It's not an ad per-se but we get plenty of name checks and adds credibility ot our credentials.

Could you do the same?

We've just run a 6 week campaign (150, 30 second slots) on our local AM only station. Cost us £540 inc production.
