Vauxhall Adam is one car which has made our shortlist (wife and I). The reasons are many and varied, not just about PH-worthy-ness.
Both my wife and I have test-driven Adams in the past and not had any concerns about the drive (I've driven a 1.4 and a 1.0T, she has driven a 1.2). Personally I thought the 1.4 was fine but didn't like the 1.0T engine and wife didn't like the gearbox of the 1.2.
But test-drives often don't show up annoying things about a car. For example; I had a Swift Sport mk2 and trying to be thorough during test-drive I took it over speed bumps with no problems. Despite that, ultimately the suspension was too firm and tyres too low-profile which made it jittery on the bumpy backroads, skittish on corners with poor surfaces and tyres thumped all the way to the rims even with minor potholes which wouldn't bother most cars.
So if you have an Adam, or driven one for reasonable mileage, I would be interested to read your views and experiences.
Which trim/engine did you drive?
What was it like to live with for everyday driving, including motorways, potholes, poor quality back roads, visibility, fuel consumption, problems, annoying things about it etc?
Thanks,
R
