cheers mate, thanks for helping firm up our residuals!

I'd like to add that thanks to unprecedented demand due to positive press reports, all the above cars have sold at 'significant' premiums and the order books are full for the next two years.

It's a wierd world. The new M5, ok very fast, cool engine etc. has sold out it's allocation of 580 uk cars already. For sure they'll be attracting premiums, as is the new Ferrari and no doubt new Aston martin V8.

But the M5, however fast, is still just a 5 series, not a work of art like a TVR. Are there really that many people desperate for a mega fast saloon. Wouldn't they rather have a proper sports car? Do they really need to carry 4 people around a lot? Unless you're using the extra performance you may as well be in the 5 diesel. Even driving a tvr slowly is fun. Driving one fast is more exciting than a 5 series could ever be!

Don't see what your point is??

This is just standard practice by dealers - get a few in that are various specs - and someone will buy them as they won't have to wait for it to be built.

Granted you may not get 'the perfect one' but to be honest with the amount of choices of colour it might be easier to go and say 'I want that one...'

If I'd got £50K and found one near about the spec I wanted I'd buy it.

Stop scaremongering!!

The Sagaris will only appeal to true enthusiasts - just like the Noble, NSX and Tuscan in the comparison chart in the AutoCAR article. Of the others, the Maserati and the 911 are fashion victims just like the M5. I suspect only a small percentage of M5 buyers are 'real' enthusiasts. Among them are those who are committed to the BMW marque, just like Audi/Jag/Porsche buyers. Others will be after something ultra quick that looks a little less sporty than it really is (RS6 stylee). A large number will be people who can afford one and want something mentally quick that they can also use daily without any compromises. Others will get one because it is the thing to be seen in (Rap star wannabe in the case of any AMG Merc or school run Mommy in the case of the BMW X5 stylee cars).

My point ?

Well I was just seeing what was out there for immediate delivery. So just thought I'd put the list on here as well.

I thought people may be interested, as like I say you could have them NOW, in time for summer, unlike if you probably ordered one now, which would you probably take delivery of end of July/start of August & then have to run in just in time for winter.

Must admit the specs on some of them are terrible (colour combo's).

Residuals ? Can't see one 'USED' model there under list.

From speaking to a dealer this morning, I get the impression that the factory is currently very busy and churning out cars at full capacity.

So, assuming a large percentage of those are Sagarii, from the stats I'd just assume that Sagaris owners want a custom spec so the dealer cars aren't selling as quickly as new ones.

There's only a 3 month wait AFAIK, so I think I'd do the same!

When I was at the factory a few weeks ago they had loads of Sagarii in various stages of build and they said they’re building more Sagarii than anything else at the moment.

Order books full for the next 2 years? Are they? That means, I take it, that if you order one today you will not receive it for 2 years.
Crikey, I better pull my finger out and decide if I'm getting one if that's the case.
