After much searching of the internet, I've drawn a blank for the pinout for my E85 (2006) ECU. Can anyone point me in the direction of a website that might have it? I'm looking for a simple diagram of what pins do what on the two ECU connectors.

I've got the Haynes manual for the E46 but I've often found the wiring diagrams in the back are often subtly different to the E85 and I don't to risk frying the ECU.

Not that I can help.... But I’m guessing ECU is ‘Engine Control Unit’ on a BMW ?

I only ask, as a lot of people refer to the various modules around the car as ECU’s, meaning Electronic Control Units.

Thanks for that, good idea.

However, I found it (https://www.pss-autosoft.net/diagrams/bmw/release/en/e85/index.htm) but it doesn't seem to work! Maybe its my browser

For anyone interested, try this: https://workshop-manuals.com/bmw/z_series_e85

I've tried for the last few hours on the WDS and can't get it to work. Even downloaded the CD and tried that way! Its coded to use really old explorer/ java and I just can't get my windows 10 system to talk to it.

The link at the top seems to work okay though (in Explorer)
