So Many Death Threats. Will BiBs Be Bothered

Check out NP&E you'll see that even in our right wing circles there is nothing but vitriol aimed towards the huntsman who fed the fox cubs to hounds and managed to get off with a suspended sentence.
If you have a look through social media there is a lynchmob in the tens of thousands spouting a multitude of very heartfelt and very nasty threats of violence and death directed at this individual.
Now, fair enough if ever there was a man who the ALF could catch, peel and throw in a bucket of salt and gain public approval this is your guy.
Thing is, with what seems social media calling in unison for this man to be stabbed on site will the police, firstly, be bothered? and, secondly, be doing anything about it?

Bit of a difficult question to answer really; would somebody take action about a very wide ranging set of circumstances?
I guess if there’s firstly a complainant and secondly some evidence that the person making the threat had the intention at the time of making it for the complainant to believe the threat then yes the old bill might do something about it. If it’s just people online stating opinion and a reasonable person wouldn’t fear a threat would be carried out then no, they probably wouldn’t.

I thought fox hunting was banned? It's the idiots who confuse 'drag hunting' with 'fox hunting' that seem to cause the problems.
It is - I know people that think it should be legalised again. Those are the people I know that are most angry about this case since it puts their cause back ... regardless of any distinctions between alternatives.Having recently moved to the area I've met a few people that were involved with the South Herefordshire Hunt.
One was a former partner of a past South Herefordshire Hunt Master (if that's the correct term). She is horrified as to the actions of these people and the lenient sentences handed down to them.
Others run a pub that the hunt once set off from. They received death threats when the case originally came to light which the police took seriously and were proactive in dealing with.
However, the calls started again this week and the police don't seem to be interested.
For me, go ride your horse, no need to chase and kill another animal.
