Last minute change of tunnel details
Discussion
The 850 has decided to spit its dummy and leak fuel everywhere, going to have to being the V70 now, we booked through 1st tickets and cannot get hold of them for love nor money via email or phone.
Tried Euro tunnel direct and they say we have to go back to the 3rd party o change vehicle details, due to leave on the 0650 on Thursday
Any help on this would be most appreciated

You need a booking reference which 1st tickets should have to change it together with a booking password - but you will be able to change it at the check - in when you go. You will delay the process though so allow extra time and be ready for some very hard stares from those behind you
OP, 1st Tickets will call you back although leave them another message on their office number as I am sure that they will periodically pick up the messages taken during the day by the call answering service they have - they should be able to deal with this remotely as they are all currently at LM (I had asked about changing a train time if necessary). Unfortunately I don't have a mobile number for them otherwise I'd PM you.
We have a similar issue. The BMW Z3 in our group failed an MOT so won’t be going. We have replaced it with a hire car. We set the number plate to TBC until we get the hire car plate. This was advice from 1st tickets. The number plate is not a requirement it is just to speed up the process. We will be putting the new number plate in today and we are heading out tomorrow morning.
I appreciate this is sorted - that’s good!
For the record as a very, very regular tunnel user the vehicle registration is irrelevant.
Providing you have the tunnel booking reference and don’t want for example to change from the car double decker to the single decker you simply check in using your reference.
When you come back to Calais their system uses registration details and you simply drive up, click a few places on the touch screen to choose crossing etc. and drive through.
