What TVR "did it" for you??

Just got to thinking over lunch....
What TVR did it for you? By this I mean what was the one you saw and thought "WOW!YES! What is that? I want one"???
Mine was a white 450SEAC a neighbour of mine bought from new when I was 14. It used to wake me up each day as he drove to work, the sound was aweaone, then I rode on my BMX to his house and stared at it on the drive for about 30 mins. THAT made my mind up, I had to have one. 17 years later I finally got the Chimaera, my dream fulfilled, now, 2 years on I have moved on to a T350c :-)
So, what TVR did it for you??

I loved the S series when I was younger, and I usedto drool as I drove past fernies every day. The final straw was a reflex green (I think thats what its called, the green, blue, purple paint) Tuscan with a numberplate Y* UFO. That was it, I had to have one.
I've not got the Chim and soon I will have a Tuscan in that very colour scheme, even if I have to sell someone elses kidneys on the black market!

on the rare occasions that I spotted them Id spend days/weeks thinking about what I'd seen 
wishing if only... Started with the V8S, 6 months later got the cerb 
Griff. When I was 7 for a project at school I frew a car with a rounded off back and faired in lights. When I first saw a Griff I just thought "wow!" I was then side tracked by the Elise as reality cme in. TVRs were BIG grown up cars. But I found myself buying an S at 21 or so and now my Griff at 23. I said that before I was 24 I'd either have a cool trendy bachelor pad or a sports car. I was 24 yesterday, gave up my flat last year, have been with my gf for 3.5 years and have a tuned Griff.

Back in '92, I was casually perusing the car market for the replacement to my then company VW Jetta 16V. I was in John Foxs' showroom in Basford, Nottingham, looking over a Corrado. On the raised part of the showroom was a black convertible. I ambled over, and asked the salesman if I could sit in it. So I did, and, as the Bible says, it felt good. I later found out that it was a TVR S2. I'd arranged a weekend away in Wales with my then girlfriend, so looked in the car mags for a TVR dealer on my way to Wales, that we could call in at. Christopher Neils was the one nearest to our route, so we went there.
We pulled onto the forecourt, and I got the "why have we stopped here?". "I want to have a look at some of these cars, as my next company car allowance includes some of them."
We looked around the showroom, and as we did so, Steve Jeavons offered us a test drive in a lovely red S3. We had a little pootle round, and I really liked it. It didn't quite sound "right", but wasn't far off.
The Chimaera was released, and at that years NEC Show, Mr. Jeavons was on the stand, installed me in the Chimaera, and offered me a test drive in their demonstrator Griffith for a couple of weeks later.
Two weeks later, one Silver Griffith 4.0 outside the showroom. Now, this sounds GOOD! Pootle off in the direction of the dual carriageway, admiring myself in the shop-windows, hearing the exhaust reverberate off the same shop-fronts. Wow, this FEELS GOOD!. to the roundabout, turn left onto the dual carriageway, floor the throttle.
By the time I'd got my face back into the vertical, the speedo needle had already passed 80 and was rocketing towards 100. F**K ME! This car is phenomenal. Eased off the throttle, and took it easy for a couple of miles, then turned round at some lights. They were on red, so there I sat, surrounded by a glorious V8 burble. A Fiesta came up behind, and stopped, also waiting for the lights. Right, I thought, Green, floor it. When I'd changed into second, I glanced in the mirror, the Fiesta had just crossed the white line, and I was nearly 200 yards down the road!
I got back to CN's and just sat there. A lad of about 11 came over, his Dad had a SEAC, he leant into the car, and asked me what I thought of the car.
I could only think of one word to say.
AWESOME.
Took me 11 years to finally get one, and the feeling is the same. The Griffith is just awesome.

First TVR I saw to recognise was Leon Hickmans famous sh1tty brown 3000M, which used to go in tandem with Simon Bridges 60's Griffith 400, ah the noise.... I grew up next to Leon in Wales, and wanted one for as long as I can remember. Now i've got a 3000M in bits (still) in the garage, but lust after a Griff 500. One day...
Griff..... me and mate used to go down to Arkley TVR Centre (just afetr they came out) hoping they would start one up and reverse it out of the show room.
First and only memory of an S was a director of a Company Called Markeath had one (management construction company and wine importer based on North Circ near New Southgate)... odd mix of trades but I think they were Australian owned
