Chicken safety
Discussion
In the midst of a dilemna for tea haha.
Full chicken was frozen, ive put it in the oven at 50 degrees for 20 mins, then 100 for 20, then 150 for 20 mins and now leaving it on 175 for the rest of the cooking.
Is this a risky way to defrost/cook? Its been in there for an hour now and the outside is cooking but still raw inside, i know it will cook my main concern is it being raw for so long.

Takeaway it is.
Probably not a bad idea, to make that chicken 100% safe beyond question you would end up ruining it and it would probably take longer than you have got. Takeaway it is.
I've used numerous weird combinations of cooking but I do have a reasonable understanding of "how it works".
Tonight, sirloin which has been at room temp for 5-6 hours has just been blow torched, will then go onto a 300 degree griddle for 30 seconds a side then into an oven at 50 degrees with butter for 15-20 mins.
1. Google “campylobacter”
2. Ask Cappo whether he contracted campylobacter probably from undercooked chicken about 20 years ago
3. Have Cappo explain how this was the one time in his life where he rationally wondered whether he was actually going to die
4. Ask Cappo what the continuing knock on effects of this still are
5. Find something else to eat
6. Or go hungry. It will be better. MUCH better.
