Often bragging about driving it like a wker, and i imagine he probably does.
The vehicle has no front plate, and the rear plate is still a US registration.
It's been over here a good couple of months.
Im guessing the offences are complete for no front plate, no tax, as it appears not to be registered over here. It's a LHD classic, so probably mot exempt.
Probably no insurance too? I cant imagine any insurer would touch a V8 LHD import US car that isnt registered in this country, right?

Firstly, what "offences" are you talking about? Are these something you've imagined or are they documented illegal transgressions that you can prove?
Secondly, if you know him via Facebook, why not try speaking to him rather than posting an ineffectual crap rant on a forum?

I think you are wrong. It’s envy the OP is feeling not jealousy. Jealousy is the emotion you feel when challenged romantically. Envy is when you covet someone else’s possessions. MOT exempt? On what basis? I've never heard of that. Historic tax / RFL etc, yes, but still need an MOT don't they? Edit, apparently not, I just re-taxed my 50 year old Honda and declared no modifications, (which is hasn't) and 12m tax, all free, no MOT! result!
Goes some way to the $1,000 it cost to get an NOS exhaust from USA for it last year! lol

As of last year classics more than 40 years old don't.There is a six month grace period for a non-resident to drive a foreign car in the UK before they need to register it (and of course if it's from a US state that doesn't require front plates it doesn't need one here). The owner is breaking the law if he is a UK resident but that's not obvious simply from the car being on the road.

If it's less than 3 years old.If it's only being imported temporarily and is registered in the USA it doesn't need to be registered in the UK, no tax no mot required. A new UK owner could quite possibly insure the car using the VIN and then sell within 6 months and the new keeper would register it for permanent UK use.
I'm aware of a quite a few employees at my work who have EU registered cars that have been in the UK for quite some time as there are a few loopholes, one is if you are a student so some of these people do part time college courses whilst working full time and another is fixed term contracts which are also acceptable proof you are not necessarily planning on staying in the UK thus no need to register the car. Therefor some work for a 5-6 months , disappear home for a month and come back on a new contract and often with a new car.
Funnily enough one has just arrived with a Dodge Challenger on a Lithuanian number plate which is the same plate their old car had on it but I know I have seen the Challenge for sale in the UK with UK number plates - now that looks fishy!!!!!

So, going back to comments above, where it is legal to have the car here on its own country's plates if you don't intend to stay here......it may well be correct, legal and above board.
A Lithuanian lawyer may well pop up shortly.
