Like it.

I'd like a pistonheads number plate as well, Pistonheads.com across the top, jimothy across the bottom. Come on Ted, sell number plates!

Yeah I agree :-D

If all the PHers put their heads together maybe we could create an new and exciting range of PistonHeads.com branded merchandise.
Maybe I'm getting carried away

Dave.

Dave,

A one off is fine, but I do ask that people do not recreate our logos without permission.

Use of the wrong font etc damages PH's image.

Ta,
Ted

...and just to be really anal - it's a registered trademark

Can't do numberplates but I have investigated these type of 'ID' stickers in the past. If there was enough demand I could get some made. They'd be the logo with a writable strip on which you could pen your PH nickname.

Ooooooppsss....

Sorry

You can't tell Font is identical... as far as I know..

Helvetica 83 HeavyExtended
and Swiss 721 Med. Italic !!

Any difference in the vinyl is just with it being cut.

Sorry about that, it won't happen again sir.

Ted - surely you could automate the production of personalised stickers with the pistonheads 'handle' on it? ie create an on-line form, add your handle, pay £nn each and then collect all the handles in on big file, a print services co must be able to do something for you and then send them to the punters.
Could do t-shirts as well!?
Or is the demand too low.

I can probably get you a good price on those vinyl stickers... If there's a decent demand anyway..

Unfortunately not for T-shirts..

But I wouldn't mind a T-shirt with the PH logo on it, it's just the trademark thing haha

I was actually going to get one made until I found that out..

So people know who you are on track days and other events!!

PH T shirts and stickers are normally available (out of T Shirts currently)

www.pistonheads.com/shop/asp/product.asp?product=147

I've looked into production of stickers like this but people don't like waiting for things generally so I don't like to go down the 'pre-order' route.

When I discussed it with others, some thought it might be a security risk to post your PH nickname on your car.

Was going to get a T-shirt with PH logo and Then UserID on it aswell...
Long sleeved aswell to keep the heat in (after going to Croft for the GT - could do with something like that)

Might have to go down to the bank tomorrow and see if i've got enough to bribe you for rights to the logo

I see what you mean about UserID being a risk.. so maybe there will be little demand..
If anyone is interested i'm sure they'll post here.

Dave.

Writable strip? Don't know about that, anybody seen my kiddy scrawl? I think it would look too tacky that way, better off with something more permanent. Something like Uncle Dave's.

Edited because I'm a knobber.

Apart from PH events do you really want people to know your username on here from a sticker on your car?

How about selling Pistonheads Badges with usernames printed on them or a writeable strip? for people to wear at meets.

Cant find it now(was quite a while ago) but I know in the past at a few meets someone made a printable PH logo and space to write you name. Print it off on to some A4 and put in windscreen for meet... job done.
Prehaps Ted could do this on the site somewhere for people to download.
Otherwise buy a PH T-shirt and get a shop to put your name on. Or use last years Le mans Shirt

Was that the one with the union flag on it BB? If it was, I reckon I've got a copy. Can't claim it was my work though.
