They look like the BA negus and old Malaysia Airlines liveries to me. I much prefer the current colour scheme

Personally I think it looks very generic and like countless other airliners out there. The current design scheme is instantly recognisable so why change it? If it ain't broke don't fix it. Also Raymond Loewy designed it. Saying it looks more patriotic is not a reason for changing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they stick with the current design once Trump is out of office.

Having being close up to AF1 on several occasions it really is an iconic aircraft and doesn't get any less exciting when you see it.
