Hi folks

Currently looking at buying a brand new 992 2S from my local dealer. Does anyone have an idea of what discount % I can expect to get?

I bought a C2S many years ago and I think I got around 6-8% discount.

Cheers
Steve

LOL..you've been away from the Porsche game for a while, things have changed..You won't get a penny discount on the 992, in fact lightly used ones are selling for more than list if in a good light spec.

Not the porsche game, just the 911! Just got a new cayenne coupe turbo (see front engined porsche feed). Just spoke to the dealer and they're happy to give me a discount - not sure how much yet tho!

Cheers

Official line from Porsche is nil on 992 at present, but there's always means... finance, trade in etc etc... i got discount on 991.2, but not that much on 992, the main part of the deal was that i got a great trade in value on my 991 and wriggle room on the finance deal.

Not true. I sold back my Gentine Blue C4S great spec with all right bits 1200 miles, listed at £116... they gave me £106 an have it up for £112

There are 23 cars on the AUC site this morning....I think like all cars these aren’t shifting that quickly/cars are out there. End of June is Quarter End....I reckon you could get some kind of deal especially if you’re taking finance.

I pushed hard on both Coupe and Cab nothing, even rang 3 other OPCs to ask, nothing on spec to own. No doubt that they will give something of used cars now. Though i do know to 2 OPCs that have sold both there good Spec Demos to customers (for just over 2k over list) that wanted that exact spec that week, ie wanted to enjoy the car over the summer, and not wait until end of year for there own car.

I also asked for discounts on both my 992 Coupe and Cabrio and like you nothing..However i never pressed hard, just a polite request..

Not a surprise that discounts weren't available on cars built to spec especially so early in the delivery cycle.

I just picked up an unregistered delivery mileage car that was in stock at my local dealership. There was plenty of cars like that in the system, that doesn’t show on the preowned finder, obviously at various levels of spec.

I was lucky that they had the perfect car for me, with a minor compromise on my starting spec, with some extras on top of it that took it somewhat over the price I was originally looking at. They gave me a small discount to help offset that (under 2k..I’m being deliberately vague :P). Felt that wasn’t necessarily normal, and was very surprised to be offered it. Ymmv

Really happy with the car, it’s my first 911...a dream car for me, and still in a bit of shock in how quick it all happened. Just had a great weekend getting to know her smile

Good luck in finding you perfect car smile

My local dealer is really pushing to get me to take this 911 cab which is making me think they're struggling to shift them. I'll hold out for a while longer to see how desperate they get and hopefully get a decent deal on it. The cars listed for £115 OTR so might get a deal further down the line provided someone doesn't snap it up.

I was told that there are quite a few new cars in the system, which has taken Porsche by surprise so soon after launch. Call around a few dealers to see what stock they have and whether there's a deal, paid dividends for me a little while ago.

There is definitely a deal to do on finance. After feeling a little uncomfortable in my OPC a few weeks ago when I suggested 6.7% apr was a little high, I sourced alternative finance.

I returned to my OPC today to book collection date (2nd Sept) and sort ceramic coat etc and told them that finance was now arranged. Oh, hang on, get me a copy of the quote and we’ll ask our business advisor to see what they can do.

Too late I’m afraid.

Never going to be a serial GT2 / 3 / RS buyer.... and it’s c. £10k difference over the 4yr term.

Thanks. That’s a good rate for the current market I’d say.

Is that the flat rate or the APR?

Either way, happy to hear there could be some room for manoeuvre on Porsche/VW FS.

That rate sounds like Clydesdale.

My neighbour just got a 992 - advertised at £118K and he got it for £110K (using their finance of course but it's a decent drop nonetheless).
