Hi,

Recently I’ve bought my first Porsche 997 . Very happy with it (BTW driving experience is crazy) unfortunately for the last few days has started to loose power at 3000rpm in second gear mainly , then in less than a sec the power is back ...did couple of times last week ...no flashing light it’s all good ..
Any ideas what that could be .

BTW no codes during diagnostic
Could be MAF sensor ? .....
Thank you in advance for your help

Is the power loss just as you drive through 3000rpm or if you stay on that rpm does it reoccur?
Any idea when plugs or coil packs were last replaced?

Hi,
It’s just if I drive though...after the power is back ..it’s like a sec then the power is back ...usually I change the gear at 3000-4000 rpm
The plugs were changed last year ..thanks

When my coil packs failed the car wouldn't run at all, they do go on 997s apparently they are badly positioned and corrode
What you're describing sounds more MAF to me based on very similar thing happening in 2 of my VAG cars
