Trading in a Westfield
Discussion
Quite torn on this and I am a lazy so and so. I am considering getting a different more civilised convertible with a roof rather than every time I take the Westfield out, checking weather reports etc.
Has anyone traded a Westfield in against another car to a trader or knows of any traders who would take a Westfield as a trade in?

They are probably one of the easier cars to sell privately but if you don't want to do that you could try somebody like Toy Box . They advertise on here.
I would sell to a specialist who knows them rather than any "normal" car dealer who might not understand their value so well.
I sold mine through the Westfield Sportscar Club, always people on there looking for good cars.

Why not just get a hood and sidescreens for your Westfield?
(assuming you have a full windscreen)
I've got the doors and I originally bought the hood but I seem to be missing the parts apart from the vinyl roof itself. Just hung the hood on the car this evening and made it an absolute ball ache to get in and out of. I had that with an elise and I'm older now and don't want to struggle getting in and out. I want to use the car more and also the missus would use it the odd time as well. (She used to have her own convertible but traded it in as she has hip problems)(assuming you have a full windscreen)
As I say if I did decide to sell think I would go down the trade in route. I know I would get more selling Private or going to Toybox but would prefer buying something and trading in.

You’ll probably do better trading it into to a classic or specialist dealer ie someone who’ll sell it themselves rather than trade it on. Have a look for Westfields/oddities in current and past stock of reputable firms and see if they have or even can source what you’re after. A browse through any of the classic magazines will give you a short list of places to start.
I would think the only people going to give you a decent price is Toy Box, its too rare and hard to shift for a normal garage
i would speak to them they buy cars outright not as px
the flip side is that they buy all good westy's and command the market for buyers looking for well sorted cars so i would personally sell your car privately as your only doing yourself out of money here
