Anyone suspicious about Toyota's "puncture" - was it one or two?

Didn't they say it was a sensor issue ? RLM was trying to stir up a conspiracy theory.

Apparently front and rear tyre sensors mixed up in the data channels - hence changing right-front only when it was right-rear with a puncture.

Combination of sloppy data work and trying to be too time-sensitive - they should've changed all four as they had such an enormous lead.

Combined with tiredness, past history of blowing it on the last lap, and the stress and lack of clear thinking of racing for 23 hours... and having the risk of cocking it up completely if you failed to respond and had a blow-out in the wrong part of the lap, they made a call with the priority being to ensure they got two cars to the finish.

They did say on Radio Le Mans that a more experienced driver would have been able to feel the puncture and be able to advise which tyre had a puncture to over-rule the electronics, but again for all the same reasons above, Toyota would have, and should have taken the least-risky option IMHO.

I'm sure Lopez is experienced enough... must take most things RLM say with a pinch of salt sometimes

Why, with less than an hour to go, you wouldn't change all 4 tyres to be safe is beyond me. So gutted for Conway et al.

I reckon, suspicious as it was, that it was a genuine error, if they'd wanted to fix the result they'd have done it earlier and in a more subtle way.
